Frequently asked questions

Are files uploaded?

No. Reading, resizing and conversion happen in your device’s browser.

Which format should I choose?

JPEG is an option for photos without transparency. PNG preserves transparency and uses lossless compression. WebP supports adjustable quality and transparency. Check which formats your destination accepts.

What does 80% quality mean?

It is a compression setting, not a measure of retained visual quality. Lower values may lose detail. Compare the original and result at the same zoom.

Why is the result larger?

Re-encoding does not always reduce file size. Try another format, smaller dimensions or lower JPEG and WebP quality.

Can I enlarge the image?

Yes, within the limits, but enlarging dimensions does not restore missing detail. Turning off the aspect ratio can distort the image.

What are the limits?

One image at a time, up to 20 MB and 24 megapixels. Each output dimension must be between 1 and 12,000 pixels, up to 24 megapixels in total. HEIC, GIF and SVG are not accepted; animations become still images.

Where can I find the download on my phone?

Look in the Downloads folder or Files app. Your browser may offer to open or share the result. If needed, try another browser and check download permissions.

Are metadata and colors preserved?

We do not guarantee preservation of metadata, color profiles or camera information. Keep the original and check the result before using it.
